Job summary

Lauren Court Care Home in Blacon, Chester, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support a friendly team in delivering safe, person-centred care to residents. You will take responsibility for shift flow, ensure high-quality care, and oversee medication administration and wellbeing monitoring.

You will maintain care records and work closely with families and health professionals to ensure continuity of care. The role is 33 hours per week with enhanced DBS, uniform, and extensive wellbeing perks.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, Level 3 desirable.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience leading or supporting a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a caring approach.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.35- £14.95 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• [SVQ/NVQ] Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
