Job summary

Lauren Court Care Home in Blacon, Chester, part of Care Concern Group, is hiring a Domestic Assistant to support a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents.

You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, assist with laundry, and follow infection control and health & safety procedures to maintain high hygiene standards. This role is 30 hours per week at £13.45–£13.95 per hour, with paid DBS, pension, uniform and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Cleaning responsibilities and infection control awareness.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Previous care or domestic experience welcomed but not required.

Job description

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life. You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
