Job summary

Launton Grange Care Home is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to lead a day shift and deliver safe, person-centred care. You will guide a team, oversee medication administration, and monitor residents’ wellbeing to ensure high standards.

The role includes maintaining care records, communicating with families and professionals, and supporting a caring, professional environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Launton Grange Care Home is a welcoming care home located a short distance from Bicester town centre, providing residential and dementia care. The home has a strong focus on promoting independence and an active lifestyle, with comfortable social spaces, a bright garden room, quiet lounges and a range of activities for Residents to enjoy. Colleagues work together to provide high quality, person centred care while supporting Residents to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £15.70 to £16.30 per hour
• Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
