Job summary

Ashridge Court Care Centre in the East Sussex countryside near Bexhill-on-Sea is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support a dedicated team delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents.

You will supervise shifts, help with medication administration, maintain accurate care records and communicate with families and healthcare professionals. NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required, Level 3 desirable; DBS, pension, uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum); Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills required
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach to residents and families

Responsibilities

Job description

Ashridge Court Care Centre is a bright, modern care home near Bexhill-on-Sea, set in the East Sussex countryside with sea views and peaceful gardens. The home provides high-quality general nursing care for up to 51 residents in spacious, well-furnished rooms, with compassionate support delivered with dignity, empathy and respect.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.82 per hour
• Contracted to 36-48 hours per week
• Days, Nights & Bank shifts available
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
