Job summary

Ashgrove Care Home in Hounslow, West London, is hiring a Senior Care Assistant on a full-time contract (44 hours per week). The role covers day and night shifts with a salary range of £14.35–£14.95 per hour, plus benefits including DBS, pension, uniform, and annual leave.

You will lead a team, oversee medications, and ensure safe, person-centred care for residents. NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care is required, Level 3 desirable, and previous leadership experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum).
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.35 to £14.95 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
