Job summary

Ashridge Court Care Centre near Bexhill-on-Sea is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, clinically led care across shifts, with leadership responsibility for the care team.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor health changes, with funded training and clear progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN (RGN or RMN).
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, but diverse backgrounds are welcome.

Job description

Ashridge Court Care Centre is a bright, modern care home near Bexhill-on-Sea, set in the East Sussex countryside with sea views and peaceful gardens. The home provides high-quality general nursing care for up to 63 residents in spacious, well-furnished rooms, with compassionate support delivered with dignity, empathy and respect.

£22.60 per hour

Contracted to 24 - 46 hours per week

5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
