Job summary

Glebe House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to guide a care team in delivering safe, high quality, person-centred care for up to 46 residents in East Ayrshire. You will oversee shifts, coordinate care, manage medications and monitor residents’ wellbeing with a focus on communication with families and health professionals.

You will be supported in your role by a warm, professional team and a commitment to dignified, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
• Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of your shift and ensure care is well organised and delivered to a high standard
• Oversee medication administration and monitor residents’ wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care records and ensure clear communication with families and healthcare professionals

Glebe House Care Home is a privately owned residence nestled in the beautiful and tranquil surroundings of East Ayrshire. We provide personalised Nursing and Residential care for up to 46 residents, offering a warm, supportive environment where comfort, dignity, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Up to £14.50 per hour
• Contracted to up to 33.25 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
