Job summary

Mott MacDonald seeks a Senior Carbon Consultant to join our advisory team in the UK. You will deliver decarbonisation consultancy across diverse projects, from infrastructure carbon management to strategy and advisory work, working with global climate communities.

The role involves both long-term and short-term projects, hybrid working, and opportunities to mentor junior staff while developing client relations and contributing to bid opportunities within Transport, Water, Built Environment and

Qualifications

• 7+ years in carbon footprinting/LCA/carbon management across infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with all levels.
• Knowledge of ISO14064, PAS2060, PAS2080.
• Experience with decarbonisation and net-zero initiatives.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
• Ability to work in hybrid, flexible delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Lead carbon footprinting, lifecycle assessment and carbon management.
• Assess projects against national/international standards and best practices.
• Inform design with regards to operational/embodied carbon.
• Provide strategic advice to align client policies with net-zero goals.
• Develop data analyses for carbon assessment with traceability.
• Prepare reports and present results to clients.
• Support bid submissions and opportunity development.
