Job summary

ise pglobal is seeking an experienced Senior Carbon Consultant to join our sustainability team in London. You will lead Whole Life Carbon assessments, develop Net Zero strategies, and advise clients across buildings and infrastructure to reduce embodied and operational carbon.

The role requires strong data analysis, clear communication, and the ability to guide projects from strategy through delivery while mentoring junior consultants and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in carbon consultancy or related fields.
• Strong experience delivering Whole Life Carbon assessments.
• Understanding of embodied and operational carbon.
• Experience with Net Zero Carbon strategies or pathways.
• Knowledge of UK standards and methodologies for carbon assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to present findings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Whole Life Carbon assessments in accordance with UK standards and industry methodologies.
• Undertake embodied carbon assessments including products, construction, maintenance, replacement and end-of-life impacts.
• Assess and advise on operational carbon and building energy performance.
• Develop and implement Net Zero Carbon strategies and pathways for buildings and organisations.
• Provide carbon reduction advice throughout the design and construction process.
• Review and interpret environmental data, including EPDs and embodied carbon factors.
• Develop carbon baselines, reduction targets, benchmarks and improvement plans.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders to identify carbon reduction opportunities.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, assessments and client deliverables.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to clients and project teams.
• Support development of carbon management strategies, policies and frameworks.
• Keep up to date with UK carbon policy, standards and practice.
• Support junior consultants with technical guidance and review of their work.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and client presentations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
