Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Carbon Consultant to join our UK advisory team. You will lead decarbonisation projects, delivering carbon footprinting, lifecycle assessment, and carbon management for infrastructure and other sectors.

The role offers opportunities to work on national and international assignments, collaborating with climate change communities worldwide while guiding junior staff and contributing to bid submissions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in carbon footprinting, LCA, and carbon management across infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across levels.
• Knowledge of ISO14064, PAS2060, PAS2080 and carbon methodologies.
• Experience with net zero, carbon in construction, and environmental impact assessment.
• Ability to work in hybrid, international project delivery.
• Degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of carbon footprinting, LCA, and carbon management projects.
• Ensure projects meet quality, time, and budget targets.
• Assess project performance against standards and best practices.
• Inform design with regards to operational and embodied carbon.
• Develop data analysis and ensure robust calculations.
• Prepare reports and present results to clients.
• Support bid submissions and opportunities with Account Leaders.
