Job summary

AECOM LIMITED in the UK is seeking a Senior Cable System Design Engineer for their Newcastle-Upon-Tyne office. You will deliver full lifecycle cable engineering packages, from feasibility studies and concept design through to detailed design, installation support and commissioning, working with Transmission and Distribution clients globally.

The role requires HV/EHV experience, FEED exposure, knowledge of IEC/CIGRÉ standards, and proficiency in tools such as CYMCAP and WinCable.

Qualifications

• Experience in HV/EHV transmission and distribution cable system design.
• Essential FEED experience in cable system design.
• Knowledge of onshore cable routing, burial risk assessments, and protection strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full lifecycle cable engineering packages from feasibility to commissioning.
• Review complex HV cable system designs and perform relevant calculations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple clients and projects.
