Job summary

Costain is seeking a Senior Buyer - Ecosystem Manager to lead procurement for the Anglian Water SPA project. You will manage a portfolio, run sourcing events and ensure value for money across design, commercial and delivery teams.

You will build relationships with ecosystem partners, conduct mini competitions, and ensure compliance with SPA policies and SAP POs. Hybrid work from the Peterborough area and site offices is available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategic procurement and supplier management.
• Knowledge of SPA procurement processes and public-sector contracting.
• Experience with SAP and P2P systems for purchase orders.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across design, delivery and commercial.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities to support governance.

Senior Buyer - Job Description The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water's region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure. Your role, as Senior Buyer) Ecosystem Manager is to develop and maintain the Procurement Schedule to ensure products / services are delivered to site on time. You will need to be able to work with and lead a team of other professionals (Design, Commercial, Delivery) to achieve this. You will be responsible for ensuring value for money and building relationships with our Ecosystem Partners. This will be through conducting mini competitions, applying Anglian Water allocation methodologies or conducting new procurement
processes. Where appropriate you will need to ensure that the products purchase comply with DWI requirements. Responsibilities

Lead on commercial negotiations Ensure relevant systems are used and updated to ensure an auditable process and efficient reporting to the business. Provide advice and support to the business to understand and deliver their
requirements. Notify the relevant manager of any spend trends which may need further investigation. Ensure sustainable procurement risks are understood and managed for all projects Negotiate with suppliers on a \"spot buy\" basis where appropriate. Comply with SPA Procurement Policy and processes. Ensure your programme of work supports the Purchase to Pay process through effective procurement. Develop wider knowledge of products and wider supply chain. Ensure 360 performance feedback is completed for your Ecosystem Partners and quarterly meetings held. Understand micro and macro-economic impacts on your supply chain and how to mitigate risk. Liaise with other Anglian Water Alliances to manage resource and capacity across the shared supply chain. Ensure any requisitions raised comply with the SPA procurement policy and can accurately be converted into a SAP PO. Assist the P2P Team with delivery and payment queries as required. Support the Delivery Teams with one off purchases as
required.
