DN Colleges Group is recruiting a Business Systems Officer to join our Business Systems and Information team. The role focuses on developing, maintaining and improving key business systems and data assets to support organisational needs.

You will design and implement data solutions, provide technical support, ensure data security and GDPR compliance, and collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement and effective use of systems.

Qualifications

• Level 4/5 qualification in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in technical systems, data or information management.
• Experience in large-scale organisations and working within technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with data governance & GDPR understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and support data and information assets to meet organisational needs.
• Provide technical support for business systems and resolve issues.
• Monitor system health, performance and availability to minimise disruption.
• Maintain data security, integrity and reliability of information assets.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements and new implementations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure successful integration.
• Analyse business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
• Produce and maintain reports, dashboards and management information.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning for systems and data.
• Provide guidance on data governance and GDPR compliance.
• Create system documentation and assist user training as required.
• Explore opportunities for cloud technologies and emerging solutions (AI, ML, RPA).
