Job summary

Abrivia Recruitment Specialists is partnering with an established supplier in concrete, brickwork and civil engineering accessories to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager in Northern Ireland. This field-based role focuses on new business development, establishing relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors and driving supply agreements across Northern Ireland.

Senior Business Development Manager | Commercial Construction

Are you an experienced construction industry sales professional with established relationships across Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors in Northern Ireland?

We're partnering with an established specialist supplier of concrete, brickwork and civil engineering accessories to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead their growth across Northern Ireland.

With a newly established Belfast operation and a strong reputation elsewhere in Ireland, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a developing territory and play a key role in building the business from the ground up.

The Role

This is a predominantly new business development position, focused on establishing relationships, generating opportunities and securing supply agreements on major commercial construction projects.

You’ll target main contractors and key decision-makers involved in projects such as apartment developments, hospitals, schools and large-scale commercial builds.

With significant autonomy, you’ll manage your own diary, develop your pipeline and drive the company’s expansion across Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business with Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction contractors.


• Develop relationships with main contractors, procurement teams and project decision-makers.


• Generate opportunities across major commercial and civil engineering projects.


• Promote specialist concrete frame and brickwork accessory solutions.


• Build and manage a strong pipeline of projects and commercial opportunities.


• Develop territory sales strategies to achieve ambitious growth targets.


• Manage your own diary, customer meetings and sales activity.


• Collaborate with the Belfast-based team to deliver excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive sales/ business development experience within the construction sector.


• An established network of contacts across Northern Ireland's main contractors.


• Strong understanding of large-scale commercial construction projects.


• Proven track record of generating new business and delivering significant sales growth.


• Highly self-motivated, commercially astute and comfortable working autonomously.


• Experience selling construction materials, concrete products, building accessories or civil engineering solutions would be advantageous.


• Based in Northern Ireland or within the surrounding border counties.
