Hippo is a rapidly growing digital consultancy delivering transformative digital solutions across the public and private sectors. We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in user-centred design to join our multi-disciplinary teams and lead business analysis activities for diverse client engagements.

You will translate user research into clear requirements, build visual maps and backlogs, and guide projects with agile practices to deliver well-engineered services that unlock data

Qualifications

• Expertise in business analysis within a user-centred design environment.
• Ability to work with designers, influence research planning, and challenge methods.
• Familiarity with service design standards (e.g., GDS) or equivalents.
• Experience gathering requirements using varied methods and selecting the best fit.
• Ability to analyse data from sources including website analytics to inform decisions.
• Experience planning and running Agile ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to test early product versions and solve user problems.
• Create visual maps (user journeys, process flows) and provide actionable recommendations.
• Translate research findings into actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Lead workshops with teams and clients to align goals and solutions.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and develop knowledge of user-centred design best practices.
• Coordinate with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to manage a prioritised backlog.
• Apply Agile processes and measure outcomes.
• Coach and mentor colleagues and shape Hippo’s BA community.
