Amey Consulting Structures in Edinburgh invites applications for a permanent Senior Engineer (Bridges). You will lead and deliver diverse bridge projects, mentoring junior engineers and technicians while coordinating with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Developed experience in Structures, in an Engineer role or equivalent.
• Ability to produce or oversee technically sound engineering solutions.
• Strong knowledge of CDM and risk assessment.
• Experience in managing hazards and risks and mitigation.
• Chartered status with ICE or IStructE desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to produce technically sound engineering solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from quotation through handover.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings, and documentation.
• Oversee junior staff and mentor them.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives at peer level.
• Manage a small, locally based, single-discipline technical team.
• Contribute to bids and work-winning activities.
• Drive Health and Safety practices within the team.
