Job summary

Amey is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead on Building Services design within our Consulting Built Environment team. The role involves condition surveys, feasibility studies, developing scopes of works and overseeing sub-consultants, with offices across the UK and hybrid working options.

You will deliver electrical and building services design across major sectors, lead bids, manage project budgets, and mentor junior staff while maintaining high technical standards and client

Qualifications

• Experience delivering building services design across HV/LV, lighting, power, life-safety, IT and security systems.
• Extensive design and specification process experience, with ability to lead designs and check work.
• Strong knowledge of CDM, risk assessment and hazard management.

Responsibilities

• Lead on building services design and deliver on multi-disciplinary projects across rail, transport, MoJ, MoD, and education sectors.
• Prepare, check and approve designs, calculations, drawings and documentation within time and budget constraints.
• Engage with clients and suppliers at senior level; lead bids and technical/commercial submissions.
• Mentor junior staff and manage a medium-sized technical team; act as CRE where applicable.
