Job summary

Amey Ltd in London seeks a Senior Structures Engineer to join our Consulting Structures Team. You will lead design work on highway structures, mentor junior engineers and collaborate with clients and suppliers to deliver schemes from feasibility to construction.

You will work within the National Highways framework, apply DMRB/Eurocodes, and drive safety and sustainability across projects while supporting bids and career development.

Qualifications

• Senior engineer with strong leadership and project-management skills, delivering technically sound bridge solutions.
• Knowledge of DMRB, Eurocodes and best-practice guidance (CIRIA) relevant to highway structures.
• Chartered or Incorporated status is desirable/essential on certain contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and deliver projects from start to handover, including quotations.
• Prepare/check designs, calculations and drawings meeting quality, cost and programme targets.
• Mentor junior staff and manage interface with clients and suppliers.
