Job summary

Jewson in London is seeking a Senior Sales Advisor to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales in a busy building materials environment. You will build relationships with customers face to face and over the phone, understand their needs, and provide proactive advice.

You will develop product knowledge, use in-house systems to manage orders and deliveries, and contribute to growth through upselling and cross-selling. The role includes a discretionary bonus and generous staff benefits.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of building materials and merchant industry.
• Track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Get to know product lines to maximise customer interactions.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers via in-person and phone.
• Understand local market and support sales growth plans.
• Use in-house systems to process orders and organise deliveries.
• Upsell and cross-sell to achieve sales and profit targets.
• Learn about suppliers and identify opportunities to improve product knowledge.
• Develop strategies to grow sales and maximise cross-selling opportunities.
