Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a technical support engineer to assist customers with building systems and provide on-site and remote support to installers and subcontractors. You will create control databases and set up control systems based on project specifications and sales proposals.

Additionally, the role may involve field start-up, system commissioning tasks, diagnostics, and communicating resolutions clearly to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in HVAC or related, with minimum three years industry experience, or one year as Systems Support Rep in Environmental Systems.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with control and HVAC systems terminology.

Responsibilities

• Program control applications using various software tools for operator workstations and field panels.
• Perform on-site start-up, commissioning and testing to verify system operation per specs.
• Provide remote technical support to installers and customers; document issues and resolutions.
• Diagnose problems, isolate faults and take corrective action when possible.
• Communicate clearly with customers, including written reports and status updates.
• Assist with paperwork and keep management informed of recurring problems.
