Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with UK Engineering Council or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience as Engineering Authority or Technical Approver.
• Extensive Bridges and Structures experience in rail sector.
• Knowledge of design standards, governance and safety obligations.
• Ability to mentor graduates and early-career professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Bridges and Structures Engineers with technical leadership and oversight.
• Provide engineering assurance on rail structural assets and projects.
• Develop and maintain critical engineering expertise to manage asset risk.
• Ensure safety, reliability and performance of structural assets throughout lifecycle.
• Advise operational and capital teams on structural engineering matters and asset strategies.
