Job summary

Matchtech seeks a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our highways and structures team on a permanent basis. Based in the Midlands, with options for Birmingham or Nottingham, you will lead structural assessments, CS 451 reviews and asset management of highway bridges.

You will ensure compliance with DMRB, Eurocodes and HTW standards, contribute to urgent assessments, manage consultants and produce formal documentation. A Chartered/Incorporated status and driving licence are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in highway structures management and bridge assessments.
• Strong knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges standards.
• Understanding of Eurocodes applied to highways.
• Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural assessments and CS 451 reviews.
• Support management of substandard structures and asset risk.
• Coordinate consultants and review technical documents.
• Deliver CS 470 interim measures documentation and approvals.
• Support delivery of survey works shaping assessments.
