Job summary

The Oyster Partnership is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support the delivery of a diverse programme of bridge maintenance, highway structures, strengthening and renewal schemes for a local authority. You will play a key role in managing schemes from concept through to construction, working closely with contractors, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, assessment, inspection and project delivery of bridges, retaining walls, culverts and other highway structures.
• Proven ability to manage schemes from concept through to construction with contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong technical background with ability to produce calculations, drawings and contract documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, assessment and strengthening of highway structures, including bridges, culverts and retaining walls.
• Produce calculations, drawings, reinforced concrete detailing, specifications, bills of quantities and contract documentation.
• Act as Engineer's Representative, NEC Supervisor or Site Supervisor on construction projects.
• Undertake bridge inspections, structural assessments and technical reviews.
• Manage project delivery, ensuring schemes are completed safely, on time and within budget.
• Liaise with local authorities, contractors, statutory bodies and internal stakeholders.
• Support procurement and administration of NEC contracts, maintaining project records.
