Job summary

Hampshire County Council's Structures Design Teams are seeking highly motivated Structural or Bridge Engineers to design and maintain challenging bridge schemes. Based in Hampshire Engineering Services, you will manage projects, inspect bridges, prepare feasibility studies and contract documents, and supervise Technicians to develop your professional skills and contribute to safe highway structures.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Eurocodes and highway design standards.
• Experience in bridge design or maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce feasibility studies leading to final design and contract documents for bridges and other highway structures.
• Carry out inspections of highway structures, identifying maintenance needs.
• Plan, program, and deliver projects within client requirements and current standards and regulations.
• Train, develop and oversee Technicians to ensure quality.
• Promote a positive image of Hampshire County Council and contribute to corporate initiatives.
