Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Bridges Engineer to join our Consulting Structures team in Newcastle. You will contribute to delivering major civil engineering projects with strong collaboration across engineers, PMs, and analysts.

We value proven bridges/structures experience, design calculations, and adherence to standards like Eurocodes and DMRB. The role offers a supportive environment with career progression and a focus on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in civil/structural engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status with ICE/IStructE or working towards it is preferred.
• Experience in bridges/structures with delivery of multi-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

• Producing technically sound engineering solutions.
• Taking ownership of management and technical delivery from start to finish.
• Preparation of designs, calculations, drawings and scheme deliverables.
