Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking a Senior Biomedical Scientist specialized in Flow Cytometry to join the Blood Sciences team at Ysbyty Gwynedd. This senior role emphasizes leadership, quality, and service improvements within a busy laboratory environment.

The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure delivery of high-quality Flow Cytometry and Blood Sciences services, and work closely with site management to drive changes and improvements.

Qualifications

Up-to-date knowledge of Flow Cytometry.
Experience in a wider Blood Sciences service.
Evidence of involvement with service development.
Evidence of managing a laboratory or sections within a laboratory.
Knowledge and experience of delivering quality-led laboratory services.

Responsibilities

Lead the Flow Cytometry laboratory team to ensure quality service delivery.
Drive service development and improvement with the Blood Sciences site management team.
Provide professional and personal support to staff and promote multidisciplinary collaboration.
Contribute to ongoing quality assurance, audits and accreditation readiness.
Support Welsh/English language capability within the team as appropriate.
