Job summary

We are seeking a Senior or Principal Research Scientist with strong Flow Cytometry expertise to join a newly forming Translational Research team in Slough. You will support early clinical development, biomarker sciences and gene therapy programmes within a global pharmaceutical context.

The role offers exposure across drug discovery and development, with opportunities to mentor junior scientists and influence project decisions in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Flow Cytometry assay development and validation experience.
• Immunology background with preclinical to clinical support.
• Proficiency with Flow Cytometry software (FlowJo, BD Diva, FCS Express).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab and mentor junior scientists.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver fit-for-purpose Flow Cytometry assays for pre-clinical and clinical studies.
• Plan, design, execute and interpret experiments to deliver robust data.
• Serve as Flow Cytometry SME, coordinating with internal teams and CROs.
• Understand biology and present data in multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Manage workload to meet project timelines and compliance with safety HTA.
