Job summary

The North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Haematology team as a Senior Biomedical Scientist. The role offers leadership opportunities and a chance to develop staff across multiple sites.

You will oversee day-to-day Haematology and Coagulation investigations, support UKAS/ISO standards, and drive service improvements while maintaining high quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Haematology experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in audits, CAPA and quality improvement.
• Knowledge of Haematology/Transfusion and QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Haematology activities across sites.
• Supervise and develop staff, ensure safe, accurate diagnostics.
• Contribute to service improvements and maintain ISO 15189 standards.
