Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Principal Project Controller to join the Bids and Proposals team within CS3. Hybrid role with at least 2 days on-site, working across sectors to embed good practices early in the project lifecycle.

You will develop WBS, run planning workshops, create Primavera P6 schedules, and support Schedule Risk Analysis, with senior collaboration across functions up to VP level. The role requires leadership and a strong commercial mindset.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive and demonstrable Project Controls/ Planning experience across varying value/complexity projects (incl AGILE).
• Expertise in planning tools, ideally Primavera P6 and/or SAP.
• Experience across initiation, planning and execution phases of projects.
• Proven collaboration, communication, planning, problem solving, and decision making skills.
• Experience with Schedule Risk Analysis and recommendations for management.
• Commercial and financial acumen; familiarity with budgeting and cost control.
• APMG Project Controls Foundation and Practitioner Level Certification or eligibility to train for it.
• Ability to engage cross-functional teams and interact with senior stakeholders up to VP level.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Work Breakdown Structure with the Project or Bid Manager and key stakeholders.
• Facilitate planning workshops with work package owners and contributors.
• Create and maintain fit-for-purpose Primavera P6 schedules with activities, milestones and constraints.
• Produce schedule extracts and visuals for Business Winning Reviews and Management reviews.
• Support Schedule Risk Analysis as required by project scope and maturity.
