Job summary

SUEZ in Maidenhead is seeking a senior Bid Manager to own the end-to-end proposal process for strategic corporate bids, from qualification to mobilisation.

You will lead a small bid team, shape bid governance, and ensure content aligns with brand standards while tracking pipeline and performance for leadership.

• Maintain national bid library content aligned to brand standards.
• Provide regular updates on bid pipeline and performance to senior leadership.

Job description

What will I be doing?

• Own and lead the end-to-end proposal process for strategic corporate bids from qualification and development through to submission, negotiation, financial approval and mobilisation handover.
• Lead, coach and develop a team comprising four Bid Managers and one Assistant Bid Manager.
• Establish, maintain and continuously improve bid management processes, governance frameworks and review gateways.
• Own and continuously enhance the national bid library, ensuring content remains current, accurate, relevant and aligned to brand standards.
• Provide regular updates on bid pipeline activity, strategic opportunities and performance trends to the Head of Corporate Sales and senior leadership team.

What are the requirements?

• Experience managing complex B2B corporate bids and tender processes.
• Strong understanding of UK procurement methodologies and commercial contracting practices.
• Knowledge of waste management, recycling, resource recovery and environmental services markets and understanding of operational service delivery models and mobilisation processes
• Resilient and calm under pressure, proactive and motivated with a strong desire to win.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism and sound judgement, visible leadership and accountability.
