Job summary

Randstad Sourceright is recruiting a Bid Manager to lead high-value bids for Siemens Mobility's CIS and rail portfolio in the UK. You will own the bid lifecycle, coordinate technical and commercial elements, and drive governance through to award and mobilisation.

With 5+ years in engineering bids, you will shape strategies, manage cross-functional teams, and engage clients across pre- and post-submission discussions to secure winning proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in engineering project-based business.
• Demonstrated track record leading bids in excess of £5m.
• Experience managing bid budgets over £250,000.
• Strong rail/telecoms/IT sensing knowledge advantageous.
• Proven governance and commercial acumen in bid cycles.
• Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams (>10 people) and stakeholder influence.
• Proficient with MS Office; familiarity with SAP and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive bids through full lifecycle from Bid/No-Bid to Contract Award.
• Define winning bid strategies and coordinate technical, commercial, pricing structures.
• Prepare and review tender documentation ensuring quality and risk mitigation.
• Manage internal governance via LOA / PM@Siemens with deliverables.
• Prepare tender review materials and coordinate close-out of actions.
• Provide matrix leadership to tender teams across disciplines.
• Engage with client during pre- and post-submission discussions on scope.
• Deliver high-impact internal and external presentations up to board level.
• Oversee knowledge transfer to project delivery and ensure smooth handover.
• Manage bid budgets and pursue cost-effective governance improvements.
