Job summary

carwow is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer / BI Analyst in the UK to bridge data engineering and business insight. You will transform raw data into trusted datasets and deliver reporting that informs decisions across the business.

You will design data models using dbt on Google BigQuery, build Looker dashboards, and mentor junior analysts while collaborating with commercial, product and finance teams. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven analytics engineering or BI experience.
• Strong SQL skills with performance tuning.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and data warehouses.
• Proven dbt experience (modeling, testing, documentation).
• Experience building dashboards in Looker.
• Solid data modelling knowledge (star/schema).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models using dbt on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery).
• Create and maintain dashboards and explorations in Looker for self-serve analytics.
• Translate business requirements into data models, metrics, and visualisations.
• Define and maintain core business metrics and data definitions with stakeholders.
• Implement data quality checks, testing, and documentation within dbt.
• Partner with commercial, product, marketing, finance, and operations teams.
• Optimise query performance and manage BigQuery costs.
• Mentor junior analysts and promote analytics best practices.
