Job summary

AutoTrader UK is seeking a BI Developer to join the Finance Systems and BI team. You will analyse big data models, manage Looker reports, and build data pipelines to deliver insightful business analytics across stakeholders.

You will partner with Finance to structure data for accurate analyses, develop dashboards, and train teams to self-serve insights. A passion for data and collaborative problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL language skills and experience on enterprise BI data platforms.
• Experience in Looker or similar BI visualization tools is essential.
• Experience developing and maintaining data transformation pipelines using dbt or other ETL/ELT tools is advantageous.
• Ability to proactively partner and communicate with internal teams to develop insights and metrics.
• Experience creating and optimizing a suite of reports or dashboards for stakeholders to drive performance.
• A real passion for data and collaboration, able to translate analyses into a concise story for diverse audiences.
• Self-driven, using data, analysis, and business acumen to identify opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and review big data models and translate into insightful business analytics.
• Manage and maintain the Looker reporting suite and respond to support requests.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to surface data for analyses.
• Provide first-line Looker support and collaborate with Finance to structure data for accurate analyses.
• Develop data packages, reports, and visualisation dashboards for the BI suite.
• Train and guide Finance colleagues to self-serve analyses and insights.
