Qualifications

• Proven experience with Java 8+ and Spring Framework.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs at scale.
• Strong knowledge of AWS-based architectures and cloud best practices.
• Experience with Microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and containerised deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, secure and resilient backend systems using modern Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Develop and evolve RESTful APIs with a focus on security, versioning, performance and reliability.
• Lead technical design and architectural discussions, ensuring solutions are maintainable and aligned with best practices.
• Mentor engineers through coaching and code reviews to raise capability across the team.
• Drive delivery across multiple initiatives balancing speed, quality and business value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems and deliver client outcomes.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities to improve engineering.
• Promote automation to remove repetitive work and improve efficiency.
