Zusammenfassung

Go City in London is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to own backend work across our microservices platform. You will design, implement and operate high‑impact services that power passes, reservations and partner transactions, coordinating with product and sites teams.

The role requires deep specialization in at least one backend area, strong ownership, and mentoring of teammates, with a focus on reliability, security and measurable delivery in a fast‑paced travel tech environment.

Qualifikationen

• Design backend solutions across multiple services or components with clear trade-offs.
• Own testing, release reliability and monitoring for work led.
• You’ll communicate technical context clearly to stakeholders and product teams.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with databases and event streaming architectures is a plus.

• Plan and own delivery of backend projects end-to-end—design, build, release and monitor.
• Break large work into releasable slices and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Use data to identify bottlenecks and adjust scope to protect outcomes.
• Connect technical work to business outcomes like passes and transactions.
• Mentor teammates and raise team standards via code reviews and knowledge sharing.
