Wheely in London is seeking a Mid/Senior Backend Engineer to join our Marketplace team. You will build and maintain high-scale services in Go, design new microservices, and collaborate with product, design, and data science to translate requirements into robust systems.

The role is office-based in West London four days a week with one remote day. The stack includes Go, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable backend services (5+ years for seniors).
• Go is preferred; if not, interview in strongest language; engineering fundamentals matter more than syntax.
• In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.

• Implement new microservices while migrating away from legacy services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to translate requirements into technical designs.
