Pertemps London is seeking a Back End Engineer (GoLang) to help design, build and maintain scalable backend systems used by millions of users. The role is hybrid in Central London, with one office visit every two weeks, and offers a salary around £75,000 plus benefits.

You will work on RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed systems, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver features, improve reliability and evolve the platform architecture using GoLang and modern

Qualifications

• Strong commercial GoLang experience.
• Proven track record building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using GoLang.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices that support core platform functionality.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions.
• Optimise application performance, reliability and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain automated testing solutions to ensure platform stability.
• Support deployment, monitoring and ongoing performance improvements across backend systems.
