The role focuses on reliable systems, strong engineering practices, and shaping the platform's technical direction while maintaining security and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• Senior backend engineer with extensive Java experience and scalable systems knowledge.
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade APIs and integrations across distributed services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, and production support practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve payment services for seamless customer transactions.
• Develop resilient backend services, APIs, and integrations for millions of journeys.
• Own features end-to-end from design through testing, deployment and support.
• Shape technical direction of the Payments platform balancing performance and security.
• Promote engineering excellence with clean, well-tested code and best practices.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and resilience across services.
• Utilise Dynatrace to enhance platform visibility and reliability.
