Job summary

CreateFuture is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive backend architecture using Java, Node.js and AWS. You will design scalable microservices, lead API security and performance, and mentor teams while delivering client-focused software.

You’ll shape technical direction, champion automation, and explore AI-enabled capabilities across projects. Flexible, hybrid/remote work with global client engagements and office hubs in major cities.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience with Java and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of Spring ecosystem and microservices.
• Experience designing secure RESTful APIs and building scalable backends.
• Proficient with Docker, AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience mentoring and leading engineering discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend systems using Java, Node.js and AWS.
• Lead technical design, architecture discussions and best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs with security, versioning and performance in mind.
• Champion clean code, automated tests, documentation and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and drive delivery across initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver client outcomes.
• Evaluate new technologies and promote AI-enabled tooling.
• Promote automation to reduce repetitive work and improve velocity.
