Job summary

CreateFuture in Manchester is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Java + Vue/Typescript) to build scalable software and guide teams. You will influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and embed AI and automation in delivery for clients.

The role emphasizes problem solving, collaboration, and delivering measurable business impact, with flexible hybrid/remote options and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building scalable backend systems using Java and Spring.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and security.
• Experience with Vue/Typescript frontends is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead design discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend systems with Java and Spring.
• Lead technical design and architectural discussions.
• Develop and evolve RESTful APIs with security and performance in mind.
• Promote clean code, testing, documentation and reviews.
