Job summary

Qualifications

• Modern Java (8+) with Streams, Lambdas and Optional.
• Spring Boot + Spring ecosystem experience.
• REST API design and implementation.
• Microservices and distributed systems experience.
• SQL databases with strong query optimisation.
• NoSQL databases.
• Messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Docker and containerised apps.
• AWS cloud platform experience.
• CI/CD using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Git and modern workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend systems using Java, Node.js and Spring.
• Lead architectural discussions and ensure maintainability and performance.
• Develop and evolve RESTful APIs with a focus on security and reliability.
• Champion engineering excellence with tests, docs and reviews.
