Job summary

Actemium Automation Nottingham, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-value automation and control projects from Ilkeston, with regular travel to Slough and client sites.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and maintain highest safety and quality standards while developing trusted client relationships. This role sits within a high-growth business unit and offers strong progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale automation projects in industrial settings.
• Strong commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting and change management.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid understanding of PLC/SCADA/HMI and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with project planning, governance, risk management and quality processes.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Engineering or project management qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to Slough and client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of automation and control projects for the Slough account.
• Serve as the main project management interface with the client and stakeholders.
• Support account objectives and identify growth opportunities.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams including engineering, design, procurement and commissioning.
• Drive governance: planning, forecasting, reporting, risk and change control.
• Control budgets, invoicing, forecasting and commercial claims.
• Ensure contractual compliance and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Promote health, safety and environmental performance.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT and commissioning activities to handover and close-out.
• Drive continuous improvement and mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to the Business Unit's strategic planning and growth.
