Job summary

Actemium Automation Nottingham, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow automation services across manufacturing, process and regulated sectors. You will develop client relationships, manage strategic accounts and support commercial growth, engaging with senior stakeholders.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, knowledge of PLC/SCADA/HMI/MES and a proven sales track record. Competitive salary with bonus and flexible hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development, sales or account management within industrial automation or related sectors.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Proficient with CRM systems and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities for automation and systems integration services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients as the primary commercial contact.
• Lead proposal development with technical teams, including bids and value propositions.
• Manage the sales pipeline and forecast revenue to meet regional targets.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management and delivery teams to align commercial and technical scope.
• Represent Actemium at client meetings and industry events to generate leads.
• Negotiate terms and contracts following company policies and risk controls.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and CRM usage.
