Job summary

Actemium Automation Peterborough is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale automation and electrical engineering projects from initiation through closure. You will oversee planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery, building strong client relationships and ensuring project success within a growing organisation.

The role requires significant engineering/automation experience, strong leadership, and commercial acumen, plus willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing engineering, automation, or control systems projects, ideally within industrial sectors.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and team-management abilities with a people-centric and collaborative approach.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage contracts, procurement, and project finances.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present regular project progress reports, facilitating project meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
• Drive project quality through compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
• Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting development and execution of the Business Unit's long-term plan.
