Are you ready to lead automation projects with autonomy and impact?

Join a close-knit team of 8 to design, program, and optimize advanced systems for world-class manufacturing environments. We are working exclusively with an R&D facility in Bedford recruiting for a Senior Automation Engineer. You will work on projects to optimize production and reduce manual intervention across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Identify automation opportunities
• Lead projects
• Write code (mainly block coding, with support from external vendors)
• Program robots
• Test and troubleshoot coding
• Modify code as needed
• Collaborate with OEMs to learn about robot systems and coding

Software Used

• PLC (mainly PCS 7)
• SCADA

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automation Engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Degree in Engineering or related field

This role offers flexibility, with some projects requiring on-site work 5 days a week, and others allowing 2 days WFH.
