Job summary

SI Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our growing accountancy practice. You will take ownership of audit assignments and build strong client relationships in a collaborative, supportive environment with clear career progression.

You will lead audits from planning to finalisation, review junior staff, and ensure deadlines are met. Travel to client sites across the North East and Yorkshire is required.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification required.
• Experience leading audit assignments in an accountancy practice.
• Strong communication and client-management skills with deadlines.
• Proficient in Excel; familiar with audit software.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through completion.
• Manage a broad client portfolio across sectors.
• Build and maintain client relationships as a trusted contact.
• Review juniors' work, provide mentoring and feedback.
• Collaborate with seniors to deliver high-quality outputs on time.
• Identify process improvements for the audit function.
• Stay current with professional developments and regulatory changes.
• Travel to client sites across the North East and Yorkshire when required.
