Job summary

Ambition is seeking an Audit Senior to manage a diverse client portfolio, lead on complex audit work, and mentor junior colleagues. You will work with managers, directors and partners in a supportive, development-focused team.

The role offers hybrid working with two home days weekly and core hours 10am–2pm, reflecting a modern, flexible firm culture that values technical excellence and client service.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified and up-to-date with accounting standards
• Proficient in Sage, Excel and Word
• Strong communicator with ability to engage across clients and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients across industries, meeting deadlines and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Lead audit planning, identify risk areas and determine efficient audit evidence gathering
• Supervise and review junior team members to ensure quality work
• Handle client correspondence to organise assignments and timelines
• Conduct on-site client visits and build lasting relationships
• Monitor filing deadlines including corporation tax and Companies House submissions
• Coordinate with other departments to plan and execute compliance work
• Summarise project data into clear, reviewable formats and reports
