Somerset | 5+ years’ PQE | Job Ref: 215302268

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join a highly regarded and growing Agriculture & Land team based in Somerset. This role offers the chance to work on high-quality rural property matters for a diverse client base, including landowners, farmers, estates, and rural businesses.

The role

You will play a key role in advising on a broad range of agricultural and rural property matters, including:

  • Sales and purchases of farms, estates, and rural land
  • Agricultural tenancies and related matters
  • Rural development and land diversification projects
  • Succession planning support
  • Agricultural finance and secured lending
About you

This role would suit a technically strong and commercially minded solicitor or legal executive with a genuine interest in rural matters. You will ideally have:

  • 5+ years’ PQE in agricultural, rural property, or commercial property law (applications from more senior candidates are welcome)
  • Strong transactional property experience and knowledge of the rural sector
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • A proactive, solutions-driven approach
  • Commercial awareness and a relationship-focused mindset
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
