Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Asbestos Surveyor for a well-established consultancy in Birmingham. You will carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition surveys across a varied Midlands portfolio, delivering high-quality, compliant reports and managing your own diary.

You should have strong HSG264 knowledge, extensive surveying experience, and the ability to work independently with strong client-facing and report-writing skills.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as an asbestos surveyor, delivering high-quality surveys.
• Excellent knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Experience undertaking Management and Refurbishment & Demolition surveys and bulk sampling.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys.
• Perform bulk sampling across multiple property types.
• Produce accurate, compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Manage own diary and workload, handling larger projects.

The Role

Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264

Conducting bulk sampling across a variety of property types

Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports

Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, and public sector properties

Managing your own diary and workload effectively

Taking responsibility for larger and more technically demanding surveying projects

Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and site representatives

Providing technical guidance and support to less experienced members of the team where required

Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and company procedures

About You

Strong experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor

Excellent knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation

Experience undertaking complex Management and R&D surveys

Confident working independently and managing your own workload

Strong client-facing and communication skills

Excellent report-writing and organisational abilities

Full UK driving licence

Professional, reliable, and technically focused approach to work
