Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well-established environmental consultancy in recruiting an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to cover Nottingham and the wider East Midlands.

You will conduct Management, Refurbishment & Demolition surveys across domestic and commercial properties, preparing accurate survey reports and ensuring compliance with HSG264, legislation, and UKAS procedures. Work independently within an experienced team with a structured workload and ongoing pipeline.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy.
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
• Professional, reliable and quality-focused approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys (R&D) as per HSG264.
• Surveying domestic and commercial properties across the East Midlands.
• Carrying out bulk asbestos sampling per company procedures.
• Producing accurate, compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Managing your diary and workload effectively.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams; ensuring compliance with legislation and UKAS procedures.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will carry out asbestos surveys across a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial properties throughout the East Midlands.

Working independently and as part of an experienced team, you will deliver high-quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivering Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
• Working across a range of domestic and commercial properties
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling in accordance with company procedures
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
• Managing your own diary and workload effectively
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Ensuring all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
